Well, it's been a long time since an update. Rather a lot of water under the bridge since then. Some stressful situations which unfortunately are not fit for public discussion -- along with some fantastic times, too. A couple of fantastic, strong Peter Gabriel concerts lifted both Genevieve's spirits and my own along the way, and a recent visit with family in Philadelphia and the Jesery Shore was fun, especially the time spent with our nieces and nephews. Saw a couple of great flicks, among them Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean, the latter being just the kind of corny high-seas fun I am a sucker for. Nemo, well, what can you say about those Pixar people. Really, their work is incredible, and I'm so glad for it!
But vacation time is over, for now. Now a lot of work needs to be done. The footage for the first part of the baseball anthology video I'm making as part of my "Get Into Grad School" project is shot, and needs to be edited. I'm behind on my Avid training and Maya work. And my day job is making some serious demands on me that will mean a lot of mental energy will be expended there. So this is a time for resetting, for girding the ol' loins and getting things done. I thirst for the finish line of this particular phase of my life... but it's still a ways off. That said, it seems sometimes there's no way there will be enough time to get everything done.
My bad shoulder is killing me tonight.
